We were all born with this Universal Life power, because it is the energy of Life.

The energy of Traditional Reiki is not equal to the bioenergy used by natural healers. In the energy ocean that surrounds us, bioenergy (the life-giving power of the physical body) is the lowest type of energy, while Traditional Reiki deals with one of the highest classes of energy in the Universe (the divine type). The candidate will be able to transmit this energy after special attunements.

In order to open and tune our personal energy flow to this type of cosmic energy, we use an ancient Tibetan code, and in Reiki, we call this initiation process “attunement”. After an initiation, we will start a mental, emotional, physical and spiritual purification in the subconscious.

Openness will develop in ourselves to our own Higher Self. Our natural talents and creativity will increase. Growth and change becomes an effortless process, as subconscious barriers or blocks are dissipated.

Reiki has an effect on the completeness of the triad body-mind-spirit. The universal mission of Reiki is to raise our spiritual level, and to advance the development of humankind.

Reiki is not a religion. It works regardless of world view; it is for both believers and atheists. Reiki is not contrary to the teachings of any religion or denomination.

Reiki became available in the 20^th century for ordinary people due to the activities of Dr. Mikao Usui. His system today, Reiki Usui Shiki Ryoho, is also known as the Universal Cosmic Life Energy Method (Usui Style).
